Description of Job

This term-limited position was created to assist with an increased workload due to COVID 19 caseload increases and changes in county processes. This position spends a majority of the time on the phone with clients verifying information so this position must have strong customer service skills. This position assists the EBT team by answering calls from clients out of state, verifying their identity and adding their card numbers in the system so that cardholders can use their cards out of State. This position assists card holders by updating their addresses and triggering another EBT card to be mailed to the correct address if needed. This position answers client questions regarding their EBT account. This position utilizes big data and assists with EBT Outreach.
Primary Job Duties:
Support to the EBT Unit
This position assists the EBT team by answering calls from clients out of state, verifying their identity and adding their card numbers in the system so that cardholders can use their cards out of State. This position assists card holders by updating their addresses and triggering another EBT card to be mailed to the correct address if needed. This position answers client questions regarding their EBT account.
Utilize Big Data and Provide EBT Outreach
Validate and analyze new EBT report by utilizing the ebtEDGE system. Utilize reports to determine clients needing EBT Outreach. Locate clients who had a returned EBT card using EBT report and ebtEDGE system to get a card issued to them. Once information is verified, update ebtEDGE system with accurate client information
Education and Experience:
Four years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the experience on a year for year basis.
Experience with EBT
Strong Customer Service Experience
CBMS eligibility system experience
County human services experience with reports and data
Conditions of Employment
Occasional travel to county departments.
Must be willing and able to pass a background check
