Job Summary

Manages risk for the company by ensuring that appropriate property, business interruption, general liability, directors and officers, marine and aviation insurance products and structures are in place.

What you will be responsible for

  • Leads the efforts in the preparation of underwriting submission, payment of invoices and policy wording review
  • Conducts analytical analysis to ensure proper balance between premium and retention objectives
  • Assist with preparing the insurance portion of the corporate budget
  • Reviewing procurement contracts to ensure compliance with insurance department’s objectives and provide functional approval
  • Works with internal and external parties to facilitate claim submissions and resolution
  • Works with JV partners to determine appropriate insurance program for entity
  • Acts as liaison with internal and external parties to research inquiries and provide responses
  • Provides operating divisions with financial planning, budget support, and analysis
  • Analyzes and evaluates alternate financial plans as they relate to the corporate objectives
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 1 years related experience is preferred; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Possess strong financial modeling skills having built their own models or owned a financial model in previous roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Analytical thinker who can prioritize their time
  • Self-motivated to learn and grow

SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.

Salary Range

The salary range for this job is $67,600 - $108,100.
